Healthcare access using mobile technology.

The M-Health Program is an innovative initiative designed to bridge gaps in healthcare access using mobile technology. By leveraging the widespread use of mobile devices, the program ensures that individuals in remote or underserved areas can receive vital healthcare information, support, and services. This approach aligns with BOFWA’s mission to make healthcare more inclusive and accessible for all, addressing critical barriers such as distance, limited healthcare infrastructure, and provider shortages.

Access to quality healthcare remains a challenge for many individuals in Botswana, particularly those living in rural or hard-to-reach areas. The M-Health Program was developed to overcome these barriers by utilizing mobile technology to deliver healthcare services directly to individuals’ phones or other digital devices. The program enhances communication between healthcare providers and patients, streamlines service delivery, and offers educational resources to empower individuals to take charge of their health.

M-Health services include virtual consultations, health education, real-time reminders for treatments and appointments, and access to digital health records. This ensures continuity of care and allows individuals to make informed decisions about their health, even in areas where traditional healthcare services are difficult to access.

Program Objectives.
