From our pioneering work in youth-friendly health services to bold, youth-led advocacy, BOFWA has consistently led the way in delivering high-impact, inclusive programs that reach across the country. Our work focuses on making essential health services accessible, stigma-free, and tailored to the needs of those we serve.
- 6 service centers across the nation, reaching over 20 villages
- More than 50,000 young people reached with HIV testing and counselling—with seamless referral to treatment and care
- A growing 24-Hour Youth Helpline, already connecting with 8,000+ young people, proving the power of accessible, trusted support
- Over 100 youth advocates actively leading change through the Youth Action Movement (YAM)

We are proud pioneers of Botswana’s youth-friendly clinics, creating safe spaces where young people can seek care, guidance, and empowerment without judgment. Through a lens of gender equality, community engagement, and strategic partnerships, we aim to foster a healthier, more inclusive society.
Whether through family planning, gynaecological services, HIV prevention, or psychosocial counselling, our centers serve as hubs of comprehensive, compassionate care. At BOFWA, we don’t just provide services—we walk alongside communities, nurturing resilience and inspiring change.
Who We Are
BOFWA is committed to promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) with responsibility to adolescent/young people, adults, and families in Botswana. We do it through the provision of information, education, and counselling, youth and parents’ life skills development, clinical and outreach services delivery, SHHR programme training, and advocacy.
